Hamish Christie qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England in 1971 and following six years of post-qualifying experience with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG) in Manchester, moved to join the Singapore office of KPMG in 1977. Hamish was admitted as an audit partner in the KPMG Singapore practice in 1980 and over the next 10 years was the audit engagement partner for a varied range of audit clients including banks, insurance and financial institutions, trading, retail, hotels, property owning and management engineering companies. He was also the partner in charge of several public share issues, corporate financial investigations, internal control evaluations and was the liquidator of both solvent and insolvent companies.

As Partner at H.A. Christie and Director of its affiliated companies, Nicolas brings expertise in compliance, finance, and operational risk management. He works with clients across various sectors in the Audit and Assurance Division and oversees the implementation of quality control policies and procedures of the firm. He has over 13 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, including a decade at UBS where he last held a leadership role in Operational Risk for the Asia Pacific region. A chartered accountant by training, Nicolas began his career in London in external audit with Elliotts Shah before joining Deloitte’s Banking and Capital Markets division.
