PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS AND ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
Hamish Christie qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England in 1971 and following six years of post-qualifying experience with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG) in Manchester, moved to join the Singapore office of KPMG in 1977. Hamish was admitted as an audit partner in the KPMG Singapore practice in 1980 and over the next 10 years was the audit engagement partner for a varied range of audit clients including banks, insurance and financial institutions, trading, retail, hotels, property owning and management engineering companies. He was also the partner in charge of several public share issues, corporate financial investigations, internal control evaluations and was the liquidator of both solvent and insolvent companies.
Our team of diversified staff speak, read and write the four official languages of Singapore – English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil. In addition to Singapore, the UK and the US, the staff are either previously from, or had studied or lived/worked in, the Asia-Pacific countries of Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar.
